Asparagus Tasting, 19 May, Tolhurst Organic Produce, nr Pangbourne


Thank you! To Iain Tolhurst for hosting the event, for his meaningful farm walk and for offering his last asparagus this season. And Thank you! to Sophie Grigson for the delicious asparagus dishes and sauces, and for her cooking tips. It was delicious. Even the white asparagus, kindly brought by Muryel went well, we wondered how it would taste when fresh from the farm… Out of all types on offer we all agreed “to stay local”.

Also a big thank you for your kind donations in support of a new Convivium in Moldova. I will be travelling to Moldova at the end of June, planning to launch the first Slow Food Moldova and the £90.00 raised will go a long way there!
