Coffee Tasting
Venue: Ye Olde Dog & Badger, Henley Road, Medmenham, Buckinghamshire SL7 2HE
We thought that, for once we would have coffee before dinner...
Carlo Arri, landlord of Olivastro at the Dog and Badger (Medmenham, Buckinghamshire) is promising to share his experience as a barista in Italy where he learnt the art of coffee making while the guys at the Union Hand-Roasted Coffee company are treating us with samples of their best mixes, to spice up our tasting session. Carlo will prepare some biscotti for us to nibble on during the tasting but not spoil our appetite before the special lunch afterwards for those of you who would like to stay. His chef will surprise us with 'coffee' based recipes to be served after the tasting.
To show his support to Slow Food, Carlo will be giving us a 10% discount on all bills. A typical set Sunday lunch costs £14.50 for 3 courses with 3 choices for starters, main courses and puddings. Obviously they also have a great menu 'a la carte'
The sitting room of this traditional old pub has been booked for us. I obviously need to confirm within the next 2 weeks how many of us will be attending either the tasting and / or the lunch.
