Slow Food Oxon update - February 2006 II
The Committee met on Friday, 17 February and (almost) finalised the Plan of activities for 2006. I will be contacting some of you to pin down details before we publish the final Plan on our website (now open to the public www.slowfood-oxon.org.uk), but I thought I would let you know on our next 3 events before it gets too late:
Public website launched
It is linked from the members' home page, or you can access it directly as
http://slowfood-oxon.org.uk/
Note that the recipes section has moved from the Members' site to the Public site. Both sites now have Links sections. Most links are in the Public site, while the Members' site links list is reserved for informal suggestions that may be of interest to current members.
What is Slow Food Oxon?
We are one of nearly 1,000 Convivia (local chapters) of Slow Food International, which was founded in 1986 in Italy. Slow Food has grown into an international network with members and convivia all over the world.

How to join Slow Food Oxon
Our events are open to non-members, so perhaps the easiest way to join is to contact Muryel (leader@slowfood-oxon.org.uk) and find out if there are spaces available at our next event.
Harvest Supper
Our October meeting was organised as a potluck Harvest dinner, where everyone brought some local seasonal food to share and enjoy. The event took place at The Rose (51 High Street, Oxford) and was kindly hosted by the owner Marianne Bruel, who also provided appetisers and drinks. We all ate extremely well before getting down to business.
